My neuropathy started December 2019. I did a five day round of ivig and things improved but never fully went away. In October or 2021 I had a bad relapse and spent 5 days in the hospital for ivig infusions. In addition to my neuropathy I lost all strength in my body. I was falling two or more times a week and using walking aids to try and leave my house. Still really only went out for doctors appointments. I was out of work for six months doing physical therapy to be able to walk again. Since 2019 I’ve had every blood test that they can think of multiple times. MRI’s, CT scans and nerve conductive testing. Nothing has been able to give a clear answer as to what is going on. I’m beyond frustrated to be suffering so much pain and not really knowing what is wrong. I returned to full time work on March 23rd and have been declining rapidly since. My neurologist has added Cymbalta at 30mg in May and today double the amount. That in in addition to my 300mg Lyrica. She also brought up the possibility of being on disability and has already limited my work hours for the next three months. Anyone have an experience being placed on disability due to nerve problems?
