Neglected as a Child, Spoiled as a Grandparent

does anyone else who felt neglected or was made to feel like a burden growing up have parents who then turn around and spoil tf out of their grandkid? some small resentful part of me is dying to know why it seemed so difficult to give me the type of childhood they're giving her and I feel awful for being resentful of a toddler
