Struggling with Misgendering at Work

every time i get misgendered at work i feel like my insides are melting, and all i want to do is curl up and die. i just got a consultation scheduled for top surgery and i should be happy but i feel worse and worse every day because of the way other people treat me. i'm never going to be seen as anything but a woman. i hate this.

      If it makes you feel any better top surgery is probably one of the changes that worked the best in getting people to correctly gender me, even some of the people who did it purposely or seemed to always misgender me on accident stopped. Sadly if your coworkers are doing it purposely they probably won't all stop and at that point my only advice is to find a new job.

      The sad thing is that it's gonna happen sadly, the best thing to do is probably just to get used to it, and correct them as it happens, if they refuse to cooperate, just walk away or ignore them

        @TheTrueSuperDX i quite literally cannot get used to it. it's been 6 years since came out and while being misgendered is a normal part of life atp, it's still incredibly annoying, especially when people do it intentionally.
