      @Kingswife yes, I was told the same! Thankfully, my Rheu was able to start me on biologics first. If you have GI issues because of lupus (which I do), then you should not take methotrexate because it can worsen the GI issues.

      I failed methotrexate. My rheumatologist said that it is 25% successful but is used because insurance requires it before biologics most often.

      I’m not sure for lupus but I was on it for my arthritis when I was 11 and it helps 🙏

      I don't have personal experience with methotrexate yet, sorry, but it's been presented to me as a possible future option if hydroxychloroquine or steroids don't help enough with the ridiculous amounts of inflammation in my body. Wishing you the best!
