Struggling with Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain

I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis almost a year ago. I have been taking methotrexate for about 6 months now and my pain is getting worse, to the point where I can't sleep because my shoulders are in so much pain. is there anything I can do to help this?? I've tried my anxiety meds for sleep, sometimes a muscle relaxer. It's just not helping too much.

I want to see if Brand makes a difference as I have a couple mornings where my hands and feet are telling me stories

I haven't been on anything in years. Methotrexate and enbrel put me n remission but I would rather not do injection this time around. What has worked for y'all in the non injection department

I was started on Plaquenil instead. At the first dose it didn’t do much, but when we raised it I could tell there was a difference. You may also have to add another drug, because if there’s pain that means you could be risking damage. What does your rheumatologist say?

Methotrexate is what all RA doctors have to start u with unfortunately, this is just because of insurance and the steps doctors have to follow. I was super sick, and depressed on that. Then I was put on Rinvoq, but financial it's been a huge stressful matter and not to mention the low immune system and recovery for any infection.... But anyway, I guess u take it with a grain of salt when it comes to this condition. Ambien helps me get a few hours of sleep, deep sleep and long enough to feel rejuvenated. Also heating pad and lots of pillows for arms, back, and between the legs. Light stretching can be very beneficial, but u have to be consistent even if it's 5 min. U wanna keep that mobility, because it's lost very, very quickly.

Metho didn’t work for me at all. I was on prednisone for awhile and ended up gaining too much weight. I now use Enbrel and medical Marijuana and it helps a lot. It just sucks that some food I eat trigger a flare up!

MYX was not for me , I went into a remission I stopped taking because of the side effects, I’m on Plaquinil now when my flare up started again. I’m trying to change my diet up and stay hydrated and it seems to be working for me . I also use medicinal marijuana

MTX is not for everyone. I came off of it because it was not working. Do you take anything else ?
