Does anybody else feel like trying medication after medication is wearing you out mentally? I feel like I've been doing it for so long and they've all sucked and now I am borderline anti medication even though my adhd medication has done so well. Depression meds just really mess you up, though.

Something that I have come to learn over my many years of being chronically ill is that we are not required to constantly fight to get better. It is mentally exhausting and takes up all our time, energy, and focus. You're allowed to take a break. You're allowed to rest. Taking care of yourself is more important than fighting non-stop to get better. You can appreciate where you are in the here and now. You can also choose to focus more on non-medication options to cope with your symptoms.

yes. i’ve been on meds since i was 13, i’m 22 now. i am tired of pills, i am tired of all it.
Yes! The only helpful med I'm on is my ADHD med too but these antidepressants just stop working so fast and I'm running out of choices plus I'm having more reactions to the side effects than ever before. I feel so scared, angry and defeated. I'm not even picky like a little weight gain fine a bit sleepier fine but this is unbearable and the meds are just not affective for me like they once were.
I'm in the same boat. I'm the one trying to find the right medication and my psychiatrist is doing all they can to help me. But after trying so much different meds, I feel like a guinea pig at this point due to all the testing of medications and treatments. And it gets so mentally exhausting that I sometimes will forget to take 1 out of the others due to stress or forgetfulness, which I know isn't the best, but I'm just so tired, so I get it.
