Masking My Emotions: A Coping Mechanism

I honestly don't think anyone these days can go day to day without having a mask. If they say they don't, they are absolutely lying. Whether it be at work, school, or home. Everyone is struggling these days, and it's terrible. I hope you figure out who you are as a person and can pull through to do your daily tasks such as brushing your teeth and hair. Life is hard and isn't a piece of cake, even for those who seem to have it all. You just have to wake up like everyone else, put your best face on and go. The world won't stop for you or anyone else. Don't miss out on simple pleasures because you don't feel like you're able to do it. I know I'm almost 23, and I missed out on so much because I felt like I couldn't or shouldn't do it because others. Do what makes you happy. We aren't here to please others and make others' lives easier. Don't bend over backwards for those who don't show you the same respect.
