I don't know why but I get so upset when people announce thier mental health problems very loud in places, is this normal? like having a very loud conversation about things that could possibly be very triggering to anyone around (ex. addiction, ed's) it makes my blood boil but I can't understand why.

Understandable just take in the context of the conversation and that might help

It’s not toxic but it’s not supportive. I think it’s helpful to keep an open mind/be more understanding. Especially if you don’t know the person, it’d feel intrusive and scary if someone were to approach them abt a serious conversation they were having abt a serious issue they experience. I hope this makes sense. Do not feel bad about getting angry, I do too!! But everyone has their time and place where they feel comfortable discussing that stuff.

It's just difficult when I'm in a learning environment. It's hard to learn when I have to deal with hearing stuff like that- it overpowers the room. I would never tell/yell/shame them for talking about it. It just gets me mad the setting we're in. I don't know if that's just me with a super toxic mindset that I need to work on but yeah.

I usually just remind myself that people have different experiences, are in different levels of healing, and have a different support system. It’s not entirely fair to stifle someone who’s having an honest conversation between themselves and someone they trust/love/are hanging out with just because it’s a triggering conversation. It’s a personal conversation and listening in and yelling/shaming will only make things worse for everyone involved. It’s alright to feel upset and uncomfortable by the topic and the volume they’re speaking at, but in general it is best to move on and/or politely ask them to lower their voices. I hope I didn’t twist your words around or come off rude. I hope this makes sense and helps :)
I also think it's a bit problematic unless all people in the room are okay with it. You're not the only one.
