Quit diet culture. No, seriously. I've quit diet culture, and I am putting my focus on eating foods that make me feel good (that make my body feel good) and avoiding foods that cause me pain. Sugar and carbs ramp up my inflammation, making me stiff and sore all over. Veggies, fruits, and proteins give me energy, help me maintain a good mood, and will hopefully also help me take off my extra weight. But that is not my focus any more. I'm focused on food as fuel, and it helps me to remind myself of how I will feel before I eat something sweet.
