I too have CVID, ai was diagnosed the end of last year. It is very stressful to be hooked to an IV all day long but that is the route for me. I also have a port which I got done back in March and then right over a month of having it found out I had a blood clot that formed in my neck cutting off blood flow to my right arm. I am now on blood thinners for 6 months to a year because of that. I also just recently got my portove from the right side to the left side now. This Friday is my next treatment day. The one thing that bothers me is I am stuck doing this for the rest of my life. This is now what I want for life. It is causing my depression to be higher which doesn't help.

Dang I hit the wrong button. I have a port and I have a home health nurse that stays with me and does everything for the infusion. It takes about 4 hours. I love infusion day I spend it in bed cozied up with my pups sleeping for the first hour and half then watching Netflix in the quiet. It’s my relaxing day. I don’t plan anything that day it’s just for me.

I take my infusion day seriously...games, Pokemon Go, Animal Crossing, relaxation, phoning friends, etc. On my infusion day I refuse to mow lawns, weed eat, or any other chore. A four hour sub q is enough! Lol
