I think I am a mutant of hyper mobility on my mum’s side. I too have hEDS. Not sure if anyone else in my family would qualify though.

@lyns It was really quick and easy. He just tested my flexibility and asked me some questions about GI issues and if i bruise easily and that was it. I think it might be different from other people but my doctor was sure i had it just from a few simple tests that were completed in like 5 minutes.

@spoonii how was the diagnosis process if no one else in your family has it?

Diagnosed hEDS, but my geneticist is ruling out other forms as vascular has been found in my family. I have the comorbidies as well.

Ive also got hEDS and some comorbid issues.

for me it was totally random. I’ve been doing some research too trying to learn it for myself. But i’m the only one in my family (that i know of lol) that has this. And feel free to ask any questions at all! I might not know everything because i am newly diagnosed but i’ll answer as many as i can☺️

Cool ☺️ This might be a funny question 😅 So are you a a random spawn of EDS or does it run in the family? I am currently trying to figure this out myself and I’ve actually found that it probably runs in the family. What about you? 😊
