Sometimes it feels like the pressure from over eating pushing up on my diaphragm or elevation , it's hard to tell. My pulmonologist isn't helpful

Hi Wes, I've noticed while sleeping on my back; that it feels as if my chest is caving inward, and breathing feels like I'm underwater

I’ve had 5 pneumothoraxes from age 24 through age 42. After 3 on one side doctors will want to staple that lung to prevent future collapse on that side. I smoked all my teenage years and into adulthood. After I had my lung stapled I never had another collapse. I did continue to smoke but eventually quit when I was diagnosed with emphysema. Smoking sucks and has adversely affected my life but I blame myself.

that's very unfortunate but I'm glad you haven't had any more issues. Smoking is very detrimental, I'm glad you were able to quit. I never smoked so it was very odd how i had 2
