Long hauler with lung scarring seeking advice

Any long haulers who have scarring in their lungs from hospitalization and can’t lay on one side anymore? I always feel like I have sand stuck in my throat and when I lay on one side I feel like it’s in my lungs.🙁

I couldn't lie on left side for 1.5yrs. Felt like I was about to pass out instead of normal going to sleep. Would roll carefully to right side and heart would pound loudly for a minute. Full heart echo was 95%+ normal. Doc has no ideas.

I never thought in my life that I’d think about what it’s like to have healthy lungs. I can’t imagine having a long life with this being permanent. Its terrifying because I feel like if it got even a little worse then this, I wouldn’t be able to breathe. When even one inhale of someone else’s cigarettes enters my body, I choke for days.

I have lung issues from Covid I sleep with pillows to keep me from rolling too far over onto my stomach or I can’t breath well or flat on my back

It’s absolutely horrible and it brings me comfort in some way to know I’m not the only one and that I’m not delusional about how bad my lungs are after Covid.
