Hi, I'm a extrovert 100% people person but being an adult is hard. It be great to speak with others who understand me and going through similar situations to help build each other up.

So I'm not one to speak with that understands you per say... BUT!!! I WANT TO!! I hate myself. If it's too "ppl'ee" for me I'm outta there! I'm a nervous wreck a majority of the time, always hoping for the best- but expecting the worse. I want to change [not only] because I hate my self and my lil quirks. But ALSO and more importantly I do NOT want my daughter to be like me and she is, already. At 8 yo. Help!!!

@SarahSmile About being more outgoing: I know it's scary, I used to have bad social anxiety, but I definitely don't anymore. My strategy is to compliment them. That could start a conversation. It's ok if it doesn't. Also, find styles you like and dress that way. I've noticed that when I wear outfits I like I feel a lot more confident. About your daughter: It's ok if she's like you. I understand that you don't want her to struggle like you, but if you're more outgoing, she probably will be too. There's hope for both of you. She's only 8, she has a whole lot of time. One thing I really want to emphasize is make sure not to pressure her or discourage her. Let her go at her own pace and encourage her with a positive attitude. It's common for parents to project their own disappointment in themselves onto their children and that makes the kids disappointed in themselves, so be careful. I'm not accusing you of hurting her of course, I'm sorry if it sounds that way. I think my parents may have raised me that way unintentionally. Both of you are gonna be ok. Take it slow and do your best <3
