I've been taking Lamotrigine for almost a month now (day 28) and I think I am developing a sore throat. I know this is one of the symptoms, but my sore throat is extremely mild and I can only feel it when I swallow in a very specific way. In addition, I have post-nasal drip and mild congestion because it's spring and my room is very stuffy - so I can't tell whether it's a symptom or if I just caught something. I'm not coughing or anything, I don't know whether or not I should be worried. I've tried two other medications so far for what's now been identified as an unspecified mood disorder, and I just *really* want this one to work. I feel slightly better since taking it, though it is too early to tell. I just don't know whether the throat thing is something to act on, or if I should wait to see whether or not it worsens, or clears up.

One user mentioned experiencing a sore throat while taking lamotrigine and found relief using throat lozenges, both spray and mints. It's important to consult with your doctor about any concerns or side effects you're experiencing, as they can provide personalized advice based on your medical history and current medications.
