How is it easy to talk to people about insomnia when they keep making fun of you like I feel like there fake friends any advice from the community

      I wouldn't make fun of you. I have the same thing. I can NEVER go to sleep. I feel a bit weird opening up about it because I have a lot of social anxiety.

      šŸ˜„ These sound like people who don't understand the struggle behind true insomnia. They literally just aren't aware, and may not understand it you try to explain. They are still quite real friends if they are open to relating to other things you may have in common! But it is part of being human to not fully understand what you have not experienced yourself. If they are open to it, you can suggest answering some questions they might have about your condition. People typically subconsiously like it when you make the subject about them, so I don't suggest trying to directly explain how hard it is (They may take it as complaining and tune you out, rather than new information they can actually hear.)

          @Aikio I'm glad to help. Had to use this technique a few times with a rather stuck-in-his-ways father. Works well if you keep it all about them, even if they don't have the attention span for all at once, you can bring it up later again.
