I’m on my 2nd day of CarT. So far no side effects. Has anyone else gone through this?

I had it a Car T transplant a couple of years ago (about 8 months after it was approved by FDA for MM). It went extremely well, I had no side effects or complications. Common side effects are the high fevers and the temporary dementia like symptoms, which I'm sure your doctor told you about before. Had to stay in hospital for seven days being monitored though. Best part was after I got out I was on no cancer drugs for 18 months!

Hey there, I recently finished my CAR-T treatment for multiple myeloma. generally speaking, regarding adverse events during (and after) the treatment, it can sometimes trigger something called cytokine release syndrome (CRS) meaning your immune system starts releasing some proteins into your blood. This can lead to stuff like high fever, chills, trouble breathing, and generally feeling really tired. Some folks might also get more neurological symptoms like headaches, dizziness, muscle pain or even seizures. I, for example, had extreme fatigue and some annoying throbbing headaches during the treatment (and for a few weeks after). Your physician can hopefully help in ameliorating these symptoms and treating it, so if you notice anything weird happening, don't hesitate to tell your doc about it. feel free to contact me if you have more questions...
