How do you know you’re improving?

Chronic pain is exactly that you don’t get better so you keep chugging along and I hope that you’ll have some better days

I struggle with "improvement" as a state of mind. A lot of times I will intentionally ignore my pain and condition because I want to do things. I use my mental state to act and feel "improved", but then crash and hurt more than ever/get very depressed. "Improvement" has to be a very slow/careful process for the sake of over exerting yourself. Other people might see if before you so I would recommend trying to find support in friends/family.

Honestly it’s hard to say because some days I can’t wake up and I feel great. And then other days I feel horrible. But on those days where I feel great I tend to try to do more things which makes me worse hours after I’m done. I’ve went 3 to 4 weeks feeling great thinking I was better Only to fall right back into the pain.
