Really dreading the holiday season. Socializing, even with family, can be draining, and with additional minefields (aunt's husband I really, REALLY don't like, but holidays are at her house, so I have to put up with him if I want to see the rest of my family). Why were holidays so great as a kid but now they suck so much?

      Holidays are so hard for so many reasons! I’m here if you wanna chat about it! My (autistic and ADHD) partner and I love our family but can’t do the big holidays. We hunker down together in our own home and forego the get togethers. We make FaceTime appointments, for lack of better word, with the family. FaceTime let’s us participate in a way that works for us!

      I am with you. I think it is more complicated as adults. Way too much compared to- "Here kids, open your presents and have fun!" Not that all of that was easy for everyone, either. I just personally feel a greater amount of struggles as an adult, socially and all.
