Autistic Holiday Blues: Forced Socialization

This is definitely a problem for me. Luckily, I have (somewhat) understanding parents and multiple reasons to fall back on that, with our family structure, they can't deny or ignore, so I can usually twist my way out of going if I really don't want to. It's helped my jaded view of Holidays somewhat, and allowed me time to think of how I want to spend them. Definitely recommend not going if you have the safe option to.

Since when was it necessary to push yourself out of your comfort for the holidays? If they don't care about you being able to get some alone time then you shouldn't really listen to them
