Concerns about Possible Staph Infection on Leg - Need Advice

hello! I have a question for you guys, so I believe I have a staph infection in my leg towards the ankle, I've never had one before but I've been told that it looks like one, I had a cut in the spot it's at and was perfectly fine then I woke up one day and it was hard and area was hot, next day the area got dark red with little bumps around it and more of the area got hard with a swollen white outline outside of the red center. No pus or oozing of any kind, it itches horriblely, I've been keeping a eye on it, now it looks like to the right of it is a small patch that feels like the rest, hard, hot, and itches. does this sound like staph? if it is what should I do? I did some Google search and it says it's contagious?? so how do I go about protecting my fiance from getting this? I got Bactrim antibiotics and mupirocin gel. any tips, suggestions ECT is greatly appreciated. sorry for the long post lol.

You definitely should go to the doctor/hospital if it is hard around your ankle and if it is spreading/getting larger

I went to the doctor about it the second day I had it. When I went my usual doctor wasn't there it was a different lady and she straight up told me she didn't know what it was didn't take any samples for a biopsy she felt it and she did say that it was hard and it shouldn't be like that it's concerning. She told me she was prescribing some bactrim and mupirocin, she said if you got any worse to come back there. I think I'm going to try to go back tomorrow when my actual Doctor is In to get her opinion because she has been one of the only doctors that listens and helps me find things when others discard what I say

Mom's dealing with staph right now. The doctor lanced it and prescribed some really strong antibiotics. It's on her face, though, and was pooling into her eyelid on one side.

how is she keeping it? Is she covering it? And is she cleaning any certain way with home? I read that it's good to clean everything you've been in contact with,
