Hi there! 👋 I started with a cut down there which I assumed was from shaving so of course I put it off and just avoided shaving for a bit. I had some itching and burning but I get yeast infections often so I figured maybe a yeast infection along with a razor cut. But when weeks went by and nothing felt like it was healing. I went to an urgent care 3 times. First time they said it looked like herpes. Second time they put me on an antibiotic and said it might be an ingrown hair. Third visit I got my blood drawn and got tested for stds. Everything came back negative except for herpes! I was devastated i even went back to the doctor crying and so depressed about it. But I'm on medication and learning how to navigate life. As the doctor said it doesn't mean your life is over. She said there's alot of people who have it and take medication to suppress it. I'm still having some issues so I may need to switch medications but I'm doing everything i can to get myself healthy so I don't have a ton of outbreaks. Its definitely worth getting checked out though otherwise you'll go crazy not knowing what it is and how to make it better. I hope this helps.
