i realized i do have some advice, healing your inner child may sound kind of silly, but it does help alot, it can make things feel more, whole, instead of isolating or ignoring or repressing that part of yourself, while some social things you can't have anymore, there are still toys, special treats, places to go to, that if you want to do it, go ahead, you see some 3 dollar toy you really want? get it, its ok, it may not be something from the past but even a week of happiness out of 3 dollars is ok to have, want to save money for an old game from when you were younger? you do that, its worth it, you are, they were worth it, and still are

This was so eye opening! I always feel stupid wanting to do these things, especially when it’s something friends poke fun at. Even if they mean for it to be harmless, sometimes it’s hard when something you are so excited about just gets written off as a joke.

I went to a class a few weeks ago where a therapist came in and spoke about how play therapy can be used for any age. It's not silly. It's actually one of my favorite ways to cope. By just indulging in those childish desires. :)
