How do you motivate yourself to get out of a slump?

One step at a time- clique but very real. My biggest hump to do anything productive is to get out of bed. I'll lay there for hours thinking of all the chores I have to do, but for some reason think If I can't do anything today, that's okay with me. But I just need to get from my bed to my chair. Then keep going with small stuff. I want to get out of my pajamas, I'm hungry- eat some snacks and safe foods. I also try to do something I enjoy everyday. Even the small stuff goes a long way (for me it's video games, favorite tv shows, play with my pet, talk to someone I trust, make art) What ever you're going through, you got this ❤❤❤ I believe in you!!!

Just as everyone else has covered...for me I try and stick to a routine with some structure(what I need) and just make myself get up and get moving. For Me, it's same thing every morning, several cups of coffee and 🚬 then I get on my bike and clear my head. After that I'm feeling good and ready for the day, so up and moving, keep busy with anything that keeps you out of self pity or poor me...I find the exercise key for me, give it a try, you have all to gain and nothing to lose...

"One of the things we learn from studying the growth of trees is that during seasons when conditions are ideal, trees grow at a normal rate. However, during seasons when growing conditions are not ideal, trees slow down their growth and devote their energy to the basic elements necessary for survival... What do you suppose pilots do when they encounter turbulence? A student pilot may think that increasing speed is a good strategy because it will get them through the turbulence faster. But that may be the wrong thing to do. Professional pilots understand that there is an optimum turbulence penetration speed that will minimize the negative effects of turbulence. And most of the time that would mean to reduce your speed."

@Skywalker Focusing on the basics and only what is most important to you. Break everything down into smaller more doable steps, then celebrate.

Focus on routines and the five senses. Also, this talk by Dieter F Uchtdorf https://youtu.be/8w1zMRJ-Sq4

I saw a tik Tok where someone suggested going to get a drink or food. Like Starbucks or something to get you out of bed and out of the house
