Struggling to Get Out of Bed: Seeking Advice

So I'm just wondering but how do some of you get motivation to get out of bed most days? Like I can't even motivate myself to get that far.

Can you help? connect today

It can be hard, I do have my days. Maybe try setting a goal for yourself and when you achieve it reward yourself. Just remember baby steps. Whatever you are going through it will eventually get better. ❤️

I have issues with this as well. I'm at a total loss trying to find motivation and I need to get things done, but I just keep putting them off.

Adopting a dog was the best thing I ever did for my health. It was 5 years ago before my health had declined as much, but she’s the only reason I get out of bed or leave the house or exercise on a lot of days 🐕 I know it’s not for everyone though

It's really about building a life that works for you. I have a cat I saved off the streets. I sleep in past noon because I want to. Finding little things. Like I'm a full grown adult right, but if I want to watch cartoons in the morning, that's what I do.

i feel you. today's that kind of day for me. been in bed and it's already almost the evening; still can't seem to get myself up. sometimes i schedule to do something outdoors or with a friend so that i'm forced to get out of bed. asking a good friend to hold you accountable and call/text in the mornings is nice, too. in the meantime, be gentle with yourself. i'm sorry it's been rough. you deserve self-care and that kindness from yourself, too. sending hugs ♡

We're rather up and down, we won't be able to get out of bed for several days sometimes but other weeks we'll have several days where we're really productive. I don't know what the difference is for us, perhaps just different people in front or sometimes it's that we got triggered. Giving ourselves a reward for getting up on the bad days really helps, like "if you get up to get water you can play animal crossing when you get back" sort of thing
