Has anyone here had first or second hand experience with functional medicine? One of my church friends suggested it when I mentioned all the seemingly unrelated health problems that have popped up over the past year or so. She said she saw a FM physician and found out that mold toxicity was giving her all of her diseases. So I’m thinking of seeing a FM doctor. They’re just so damn expensive. I also saw some sources that FM is just quackery and they’re no better than regular doctors. I just want to find out if my low sodium, osteoporosis, memory problems, etc. have some sort of root cause, and also if there’s a way to cure/treat my back problems without taking that Forteo stuff. Is it worth dishing out $5k for an FM doctor when I could just see my shitty PCP for $15 and get put on another Rx?
