Frustrations with ADHD Diagnosis and Treatment

going to my doctor about my adhd is so unbelievably frustrating. i’ve been told that what i’m studying in school is “too difficult for people with focusing problems like you”, and just this week, when voicing my frustrations and concerns around school hoping to find a medication that might work, was told that she “can’t prescribe me motivation”, implying that i’m just lazy. i try not to let it get to me, and i’m luckily surrounding by many supportive and understanding people, but it’s so invalidating to hear things like this. long story short i’m finding a new doctor LOL
