Struggling to Get Doctors to Listen Beyond Depression

I can't seem to get doctors to focus on other issues I'm having besides depression ... what can I do?

One of the things that worked for me was saying "I think x, y, and z are causing my depression (or adding to it) so I would like to focus on fixing those issues first"

I had the same thing. Turns out I have ADHD/ASD, chronic fatigue syndrome and likely have auto-immune illness. The best advice I can give is to be assertive about your experiences. Keep a running note of symptoms, habits, experiences you have that make you think you have something else and shop around for doctors who specialize in that and LISTEN. I’m poor so it took a while but having at least one person to help support you is super helpful. I chose my mom because she’s willing to speak up for me and doctors take her more seriously and i literally bring my mom to my appointments. Don’t give up. You deserve to have a full life.
