Struggling to Get a Diagnosis for ADHD

I'm a 21 y/o woman. it has been hard trying to find a diagnosis for adhd. I show all the signs, my doctors agree I have it, but everytime I get tested they say that my results don't add up so they won't diagnose me. it is getting frustrating for me. and now they have put me on Strattera for it and it's month 2 on this medicine and I see/show no change whatsoever. I don't know exactly what I'm asking or if I even am asking something but anyway. 😂

Have you had an evaluation interview with a psychologist or psychiatrist?

I have. They're the one who did the testing.

I'm in the same boat, I have a psychiatric NP through an online service rn, so she can't prescribe me stimulants, but I'm on welbutrin. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. I think seeing a doctor who specializes in ADHD rather than all of psych might help. But rn I don't have the resources for thay

I have had a similar experience. My doctor has told me that I have ADHD and proceeded to not put me on any medication for it. It's extremely unhelpful. However, when I started my antidepressants, they did nothing. A lot of times a higher dose will help minimize symptoms even if they aren't eradicated completely. I don't have any super helpful advice but you aren't alone ❤️
