My primary care doctor told me last week that it’s definitely time to get a second opinion from another rheumatologist. I sent a picture of my face to my current rheumatologist office and the nurse called me and said that they didn’t see anything abnormal about my face. I showed the picture to my primary care doctor and she said it’s a classic butterfly rash and she’s not sure why the nurse would contact me saying otherwise… unless they are unaware of how they appear on black women. That plus th my rheumatologist keeps saying my positive RNP antibody is a false positive yet it keeps coming up positive. This is so frustrating and sad because I felt so stupid because I clearly saw something wrong with my face but I couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t. I wish you all could see what my face looked like… smh lol
