I was on fluoxetine after a depression screening and a stay at the mental hospital. It basically made me into a zombie. I haven't been back to the doctors so my doctor isn't aware I stopped taking it because of the massive brain fog it gave me. It didn't let me be... me. I was quiet, out of it, and not my normal self. Anyone else have this problem, and if so, is there other medications I should talk to my doctor about that might not have the same effect? Thanks!

Honestly, even talking to your doctor and letting them know the effects it had on you that you didn't like would be the best start. Having an open dialogue with your doctor can help you narrow down what might work, but there's going to be a lot of trial and error with it.😣 Mental health medication have a cycle for most people: you take your meds, so you feel fantastic and think you don't need them anymore, you stop taking your meds and start to feel terrible again.😥 You should always let your doctor know when you stop and start mental health medications in general so they can better help you care for you!💕🤗
