I had made a previous post related to finding the motivation to take a shower and recently I got some sugar scrub which I love and also found a new way to style my hair to make it fluffy which I also love and it makes me super motivated to actually shower! :-) The beginning of progress! Now I just need to figure out my toothbrush situation, hopefully this lasts and I don't go into another dip in a few days of not keeping up with it. Has anyone else progressed with anything they're proud of?

Omg! I needed to see this! I am going to try a few of these! I've been struggling with hygiene since I think 2019, it got better when I was at the mental hospital but now it's turned into a fear of bathing/being in water. Thank you all, I hope some of these work for me!

I've started a skin care routine! It's been such a long process and I've actually stuck with it for a week! And once you figure out a way to help with brushing your teeth I will probably steal it cuz I'm still struggling with that myself

You’re doing amazing!! Try to maintain with small goals!!
It’s hard for me to brush my teeth right before I go to bed, so I sometimes brush my teeth whenever during the day or after dinner or whatever works. And if I can’t brush my teeth, I always at least drink some water before I go to bed and swish my mouth with it (it makes me feel better).

My trick for the toothbrush situation is I keep my toothbrush and toothpaste IN the shower. So then I do it in the shower.
I got a shower chair that makes showering so much easier for me. I’m still struggling with tooth brushing though. I keep floss picks next to my bed. I’ve got those wisp on the go brushes as well as prepasted toothbrushes next to my bed. Though I haven’t been using them as often as I should.
I mustered up the courage to call my therapist and restart therapy. :) I'm glad you found a way to make showering more motivating!
