Struggling with Hygiene: Any Tips?

How do y'all get yourself to keep up with hygiene? I struggle a lot with getting myself to shower specifically and it's becoming a problem. Does anyone else have this? Have you found anything to help?

Also you can brush your teeth in the shower. That can save a step

Eventually you have to take a full show, no way around that. There are many ways to make it untill you have energy. Water gets you clean. Sometimes I just sit in the shower getting wet and rinsed off. I dont even move or actively wash myself sometimes. I just rinse at least the extra body oils off. I can usually get the "bare minimum" areas soaped up and rinsed off if I sit long enough. I also recommend using products that are fun or inherently rewarding to use. I use kids "finger paint" soap and other nice smelling products.

i absolutely have this, even most basic hygine tends to be a struggle. my therapist has coached me on doing the bare minimum, something smaller to do in place of it, or combine it with another thing to effectively skip a step but still do it. with showers, you could try things like using a rag and washing your body that way, usin dry shampoo/conditioner, or just sit in the shower and do something else for your hygine like brushing your teeth/using mouthwash. i hope any of this helps!! i absolutely understand and you're valid! 💜
