Feeling Self-Conscious in Public

I have a walking disability and get anxious when crossing roads

I feel self conscious when I cross roads

It’s so much harder when I’m grocery shopping with my ma, she is selfish and loud (the Karen type :(( ) and any time she calls attention to herself, or is standing in the middle of an isle, I freak out bc of how much of an inconvenience we’re being and how much attention we’re bringing to ourselves. She gets so angry at me for it every time but it’s genuinely crippling, overwhelming and out of my control. I hate feeling like I’m being watched/scrutinized :((

Absolutely, and it’s definitely not always rational. It’s been really hard to communicate that to people in my life without anxiety but most with it usually understanding, it was really affirming

i don’t but my bff always thinks ppl r staring or laughing at her and id get confused cause literally no one is looking or laughing at her at all but to her they all are.
