Consider lower hours and possibly applying for disability. To get disability, you need documentation of your illness. Get a therapist if you don't already have one and establish with her or him why working full time is a detriment to your health. You can get disability and still work. You have to prove you can't work enough to support yourself on your own. How much you get per month is determined by how much you worked in your lifetime. It's an unfair system. I get 523 a month and I cannot work at all. I rely on medicare, foodstamps, emergency rent assistance, all that. Its no picnic. You have to deal with a lot of beaureaucracy. But it would be a realistic solution. It can take years to get disabiluty. 88% or more cases are rejected the first time filed. Appeal. Keep appealing. Don't miss the paperwork deadlines or you'll have to start all over again. Your backpay is established based on what day they can confirm you became disabled. This date may or mau not reflect reality. Most cases it relies on how well you were able to hang during the application process. A lot of people rely on lawyers and advocates to help. The lawyer gets no money if you don't get disability. If you do get disability, they take some backpay. Advocates are usually free. Look for departments and independent agencies that deal with the elderly and disabled population. They can likely direct you to an advocate. Also, some social workers can file and help you get disability. I started over twice. Did lawyers first, advocate second, and the social worker ultimately got it for me. Its an ungodly long wait time! Also, try getting involved with vocational rehabilitation services. Its a federal program that helps people who are medically disadvantaged get work they can do. They'll even help pay for school. Working with voc rehab can help you get disability. It's all about documentation. The more documented your illness, the better chances you have. A lot of people get rejected just because there's insufficient info. Be honest about your condition. Dont put on a brave face for a therapist. Be honest about your struggle. Keep a bullet journal to learn your patterns so you can share that information with your therapist because thats how the disability evaluators get the info. Your case will be evaluated by doctors who's whole job is to evaluate cases like yours. Hold nothing back. If you are called in for a court date, go in cosplayed as you at your worst. Let them see. Hope this helps.
Have you considered just lowering your hours first? Or finding a job that would better allow you to focus on yourself? That way you still have income to provide for yourself but you can focus on yourself as well
