how do i combat this feeling of loneliness i experience every time i talk to/ interact with people? i try to be as authentic as i can, but i feel like they don’t actually see me. i feel so distant from even my closest friends, and i don’t know what i did to cause this distance. maybe it’s just me, feeling different from my neurotypical peers, but it even extends to my best friend; being so far away from her makes me feel like we aren’t close friends anymore. if i’m too honest, it scares people, but if i’m not honest enough, i feel disgusted with myself. i just want to feel okay with talking to people.
