Bear with me. . . I saw Top Gun Maverick today and since then have been feeling rather down. Watching movies like that one, where you see all of these actors have aged, where that nostalgia is brought forth and then it’s ripped apart by time and back to the present. Maybe it’s being scared of one’s immortality. I’m not sure. All I know is that it has me feeling down. It’s 1:46AM and I am unable to sleep. I have seen the original Top Gun but I wasn’t alive for it. However, movies before my time still affect me heavily. Nostalgia is such a sad and fickled thing. Just my thoughts for this late/early hour.
