Feeling Depressed on Antidepressants

If your medication is not helping you with your depression, you need to talk to your doctor and find an alternative or something that they can add to your current medication to help you. Depression, sometimes, will rear its ugly head at the worst times! Most of us struggle with depression on some level. Having a little depression does not hurt us. But if our depression is getting in the way of our daily lives, we have to search for answers. The absolute best thing that I found for my own depression, is finding somebody that needs my help. By helping others that are in need, it takes the depression from my own life and turns it into hope. I find myself getting happy just helping somebody and making their day a little brighter.

I've been there. Sometimes the sadness and anxiety are overwhelming and you have no choice but to feel them with your whole spirit. The thought that comforts me most in those times and that I know I won't always feel that way. Those episodes ebb and flow, just like water on the shore. I close me eyes and tell myself that my feelings will ebb and flow as well, and that eventually I will be on the other side of what I'm feeling in the moment. Be kind to yourself, allow yourself to feel, and know that this feeling will not last forever ❤️
