Complications of Stomach Sleeping After Top Surgery

hey this is for any afab people who have had top surgery! I am about 18 days post-op. I have not slept well at all since surgery due to the fact I am a stomach sleeper usually and laying on my back has caused some back issues for me as well as insomnia. last night I took melatonin (it gives me weird side effects so it's a last resort option for me) and I slept great. the only problem is I woke up on my stomach this morning. I'm just wondering if you all know, what are the complications that can some from stomach sleeping after surgery?

      @Kaistove94 yeah i accidentally rolled over a little early too and I think it's why my left nipple and a wider area of scarring under my left arm have weird coloration and it was pretty sore the next day. But it helped me last until the 3 week deadline and it's still the better looking nipple so I think it was a fair trade off.

      There's potential for there to be issues with the healing of your nipple grafts and/or scars most notably at your stage in recovery, also potential for added pain and swelling the next day. 3 weeks is the minimum to begin turning over at your own pace, I had to sleep on my side only for about a week or else it hurt, so you're pretty close and its possible that if there is any damage its minimal.

        @AnimalBoy my insomnia issues have been so bad at this point, those complications were worth the one night of good sleep I got! It was so nice šŸ¤£ Thanks for your reply! It definitely did help
