sat here crying instead of starting work at 2pm because I'm so overwhelmed by it all I can't keep myself together. completed training a last week Tuesday and not been able to properly keep myself together almost everyday after. this is the first full time job I've had and is the first job I've had where I've actually enjoyed the people who I work with. do people get like this too and have gone through something like it? of so, how did u beat it and move past it? please, I beg 😭

@Trins this is an interesting idea, I work as a customer service advisor for collections on debts. This means having a few screens open to complete my work then I also have a bunch of sticky notes on my desktops, I try to spread the different pages open onto the the 2 screens I have but they still get full and I do get flustered looking at all the process I'm still learning. thank you for this, I will keep in mind to only have what I need in front of me ❤️

One of the best things I think you can do is to isolate a task. For instance let's say you need to read these articles and write a paper on each. What I would do it pull up one article and just one, have nothing else in my line of sight then read it. It helps to I keep on one task instead of focusing on the fact that you have several. Sometimes making a list can help but they overwhelm me.

For me, the main thing that helped was not expecting myself to immediately be at 100%. It was to accept that my capacity could fluctuate on a day-to-day or even hour-to-hour basis, and that my job performance or "productivity" didn't have to be perfect for me to still be worthy of the job. it sounds like you have a tendency towards perfectionism, and that combined with the pressure of your new job is causing this overwhelming feeling of anxiety and hopelessness, even though you enjoy your colleagues.

@ina you couldn't have described it better! Thankfully should be getting CBT soon to start my therapy journey, 🤞🏻 everything improves soon ❤️
