Dealing with Hearing Loss: My Silent World

I know it's really scary to realize how much sound you're losing. I have worn hearing aids since I was 4, but thought that I was losing more hearing. My current hearing aids weren't strong enough and that was causing me to feel like I wasn't hearing. I'm not sure if you've gotten any exposure to American Sign Language, but I'd definitely look into it. It'll give you a way to communicate with the people around you still without having to hear you. I hope those around you will be willing to put in the effort to learn it too so you don't feel so isolated.
