About 2 months ago I got cellulitis in and around my eye from a bug bite on my nose. I went to the E.R. within 7 hours of the bug bite because it spread fast and I read online eye infections are no joke. I was able to treat it without any issues, was put on antibiotics for 2 weeks. I finished them up and the infection is gone and the eye dr I followed up with says they see no damage which is great but.. my eye still hurts. Ever since there has been a pain in/around it pretty much constantly and the eye dr isn't sure why.. they say it will go away eventually. I have an auto immune disease so I wonder if somehow my body still thinks there is an infection there and causing inflammation. Is this a totally wild theory or could if be possible? And either way any suggestions on what would help? The eye dr didn't really have any and tbh I don't feel like they truly believe me that it still hurts.
