people who have epilepsy and use medical marijuana: did switching from medication to MM help or fix your seizures? were you scared to try the switch at first? how did you go about the switch and how did you talk to your doctor about it? i would like to try but i’m too scared to go through the transition between medicine and MM. any other advice unrelated to my questions would also be great

Just try to keep checking in with yourself and do NOT rush yourself into going off of your meds if that’s what you want it’s something you have to seriously consider!! Good luck!!

Hiii I have hand jerks from the seizures I’ve had and smoke to keep them from doing so. It helps so much and I’ve asked my doctor to keep me on my meds & just do a medical card (just because he’s against going straight off of my meds to this) and he said no. I have no idea how else I’d be able to get one & I don’t live in a recreational state so it makes me kind of nervous. But gotta do what you gotta do haha. I’d say if you’re nervous about going off of your meds maybe stay on them and start the medical marijuana process. If you want to get off your meds then maybe try the same thing and try and see if your progress of taking the medical marijuana & see if you are more comfortable going off of your meds after a while of trying the weed.
