Weed and Seizures: Can it Help or Hurt?

I had my first seizure on May 19th. When I went to the ER, the doctor there told me not to smoke weed because it could lower my threshold... I haven't ever heard this before? Actually, I've always heard weed helps seizures... What do you think?

Marijuana was the only thing that has ever helped my seizures. When meds didn't work for me back in the 90's, my doctor recommended that I try it, off the record...
