so about three weeks ago my Dr put me on effexor and I took it for one night and my ears crackled all night, I couldn't sleep. the next day I went to the gym and my heart rate went from 110 down to 56 real fast. called the Dr they told me to stop taking it. went to the ER my heart is fine and healthy. I did and now I ended up with fluid in both my ears. they gave me steroids a nose spray and antivert medication. she said if my dizzyness isn't better by Friday that she will refer me to and ent. it makes me not want to try any medicine for fear this will happen again. has anyone else experienced this and when will it go away? :(

I'm not a doctor, but one user reported experiencing ear pressure and dizziness after starting sertraline, which is another antidepressant. They mentioned that the symptoms were normal in the beginning and usually go away with time. However, it's essential to consult your doctor about your specific situation and concerns.
