Hi! I'm new here and wondering if anyone has been prescribed Doxepin for their raised tryptase? Apparently the KIT gene test takes forever (I had it sent out in January with no results yet) so my specialists are hesitant to fully diagnose me with MCAS without them, despite being pretty sure I do. They told me the Doxepin is basically 800x stronger than benadryl and includes a small sort of anti-depressant dose. I've been on it for a little over a week now and I feel like it's making me really cranky and shortening my fuse a great deal. The doctor says it takes 2 weeks or so to really kick in and start working, but I hate feeling like this. I'm always tired and feeling like I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Anyone else whose tried this?
