Hey all! I went out today without fainting, but struggled pretty much the whole time. Regardless I count it as a win for staying conscious!

@WhimsicalMushroom I'm sorry to hear that you're bedridden. It's good that you had a mobility aid (do you own it?), there's no shame in being an ambulatory or even full time wheelchair user if it lets you experience the world without flaring so badly. It might invite some unwanted stares and questions but if it helps it helps and your health needs are not strangers business. Internalized ableism and anxiety are a sucky mix, you can DM me if you ever wanna chat about it! Rest up and I hope you feel better soon

Awesome!! That's a win for sure, it means you know your body and your limits which is all we can really ask for lol Don't be afraid to take frequent sitting breaks while you're out, it's taken me a long time to get over the fear and internalized shame of sitting wherever I need to (even if it's the ground/floor). You deserve to go out without struggling, even if it looks a little different than other peoples' out

@Lunarr I absolutely have internalized people staring at me. We stopped for me to use the restroom and I only made it maybe 50 feet at a time, and wound up needing the wheelchair so I got some stares when my partner came back inside with it. Since we got back I've been bedridden, so no more walking for me.
