20 Years on Dialysis: Can I Still Get a Transplant?

My antibodies are at 99.9 and I received my 4th transplant in March 2020. My donor was deceased. This kidney is working like a charm! I am very blessed. I had all my transplants at The Mayo Clinic in Arizona, except my 1st one in Lubbock Texas. I highly recommend them!! Good luck

Hi Meeyah, I'm from Washington state going thru Virginia Mason. Yes I've heard of that process. I've asked them about it and they say they wouldn't do it. However when I was with Swedish transplant center they however did suggest it. They told me my best option would be to get a living donor. Did you ever get transplanted?

Hi Jamie. I am considered a difficult patient. I also had high levels of antibodies. I went through a process called hemipharesis. U can Google but similar to dialysis to lower the antibodies.
