Hi. Anyone else on here waiting for a liver transplant? I’ve been waiting almost a year now. I feel like my life is on pause until I can get the new liver. No current leads for living donor, just waiting for a deceased one. Anyone else?

Is it true your meld number has to be 15 or over

No I didn't mean for anybody else to take their name off the list or give up. That is a personal decision.

Im a recipient, 1 year post transplant. Thankfully i didnt have to wait long once on the list. Im not sure where u are but location may play a huge factor in how long you have to wait. My relative whos a hepatology doctor in NY said if i was over there id never had gotten one so fast. But hang in there and i hope waiting doesnt feel as long for you as it did for me. I was in some pretty bad shape and every day was full of pain.

Because of moving over the years I've been on 3 transplant lists (currently on 2 right now) for the past 9 years. I can't get a living donor with my insurance

I don't think that other people should give up on a transplant. I have other health issues that keeps putting me further and further back on the list

Not listed, not rated “Il enough” yet but curious if you are inclined… What was your MELD At the time you got on list? 2) Was there HCV involve and was it treated first? 3) Once on list, are the factors that qualified you for listing monitored and is it conceivable one could be unlisted if bloodwork etc improves? Diet- meds- supplements? ! I know its a lot, feel free to address or not as applicable and inclined. Thanks
Hi I haven't even been put on the list yet. I am hoping to be put on it sometime this month as I am officially 6 months sober. I am terrified of waiting honestly. I hope good news comes soon. Hang in there! 🙏

@KKLeexoxo I never went from stage 1 to 4. Just straight to 4. Meld score was 16. I stopped drinking all together and now I am clear of liver disease. Dr s say once you hit 4 stage it's unlikely your liver will heal on its own. I proved them wrong. Maybe because I never drank and after 3 yrs I got cirhosis. But never had to go on a list after all and now my meals score is a 1. I got lucky.

@Bellagirl ur cirrhosis is gone? Didn’t know that was possible, but willing to do anything. What’s your secret? I’m not a drinker.
