I am diagnosed with Cyclothymia (think bipolar light), but I am wondering more about BPD.

I was diagnosed my whole life as bipolar until 2016. I did an evaluation & she said likely bipolar but as a whole I had BPD so I'm not sure. I have characteristics of both 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was!!! For the longest time and if they had known when I was younger they probably would have been able to handle me more properly

It's weird. At age 12 I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, 19 with BPD and bipolar (type ???? nobody knows lmao) Age 20 BPD with psychosis (but some doctors have said schizoaffective disorder). So idk what I have but I know I need medication and therapy to make me feel better

I got the diagnosis of bipolar when I was in first grade. I went through every medication they could give me without me being an adult. Then at 15 they gave me the unofficial diagnosis of schizophrenia and then schizoaffective when I started having hallucinations. None of these ever felt right to me especially when I was old enough to do my own research. A year ago I decided to attend a PHP program. And I finally got the courage to tell the psychiatrist that I didn't think my diagnosis was right. And he looked me dead in the eyes and he said oh I never thought it was. You have BPD. I was just like wow, ok thanks!

Was misdiagnosed at 15, rediagnosed at 17

My doctor was so certain that she gave me a medication that screwed me up. I still have a BPD diagnosis, however being on a stimulant I’m not sure things line up anymore.

My doctor told me that I have both. I didn’t even know that it was possible to have two disorders.

I talked to my PNP to consider whether maybe I had BPD instead of bipolar. I have both 🤦‍♀️
